#PlaneBae: Love is in the air
LOVE IS IN THE AIR for two passengers who boarded their flight to Dallas last Monday night.
And the very moment they fell in love was probably documented on Twitter.
Rosey Blair, who was on the same flight, accidentally orchestrated what could be the greatest travel love story ever.
“Last night on a flight home, my boyfriend and I asked a woman to switch seats with me so we could sit together. We made a joke that maybe her new seat partner would be the love of her life and well, now I present you with this thread,” Blair tweeted, initiating an extremely detailed Twitter trail complete with pictures and Instagram stories.
Very little is known about the girl, whom netizens have been calling “Plane Girl” or #PrettyPlaneGirl, while the guy, #PlaneBae, has been introduced as former soccer player Euan Holden. The two had apparently immediately hit it off, chatting up a storm and even showing each other family pictures during the three-hour flight.
Like a modern-day fairytale, the journey ended with the couple picking up their luggage from the baggage carousel together.
Blair, who was right behind the couple the entire time, diligently took notes and shared the story on Twitter the next day.
It went absolutely viral.
The story later found its way to Holden, who tweeted the following in response:
Hilarious… Knew you were taking pictures https://t.co/dTuFA8RI1O

Similar stories have taken over Twitter, with scores of netizens sharing their “love at first flight” experiences on the platform.

My parents met on a plane! My mom was going to the bathroom but they hit turbulence so my dad told her to sit by him. They talked the entire flight. He peeped her work logo on her watch & called every single store until he found which one she worked at. Going on 30 years

Yes I actually went overseas with someone who coincidentally was seated next to a girl on the way out.
Then, equally unexpectedly, was seated next to the same girl two weeks later going home.
They made their wedding plans on the trip back:
I went to the wedding

My cousin met his wife at an airport bar. He legit purposely missed his flight so he could keep talking to her. Airport love is real!

Meanwhile, things seem to be going well for #PrettyPlaneGirl and #PlaneBae, with the latter dropping hints that he will be seeing her again and that he has been waking up to texts that make him smile.
Holden also very recently uploaded a video thanking Twitterverse for respecting #PrettyPlaneGirl’s privacy.

So, would you swap seats with a stranger the next time you’re on a flight?
